After enrolling in an Online TOEFL Course , Palta makes a new year resolution to pass the TOEFL exam.

It was December 26, the day after many westerners celebrate Christmas, and Palta needed an Online TOEFL Course to help realize her dream of becoming a nurse in the United States.  Palta needed to make a new year’s resolution to practice English regularly so that she could reach her target scores on the TOEFL: (90): R=21, L=19, S=26, and W-24.

Of course, many people make new year’s resolution in order to improve their lives, but few are actually successful after the first few weeks of the new year. For example, Alex made himself a promise last year that he would lose weight, but, after a few weeks in to the new year, he abandoned his diet and healthy life style and went back to his old ways.  Sadly, this year he gained 45 pounds.  Moreover, Sarah made a new year’s resolution to quit smoking. Where is she now, a year after having made the promise to herself? She stills smokes three packs of cigarettes a day.

Will Palta follow the foot steps of so many before her who had set goals, abandoned them, and were worse off a year later after setting them. No one could say for sure, for Palta’s success would depend on her own will to improve her academic English so that she could reach her goals. Fortunately, her Online TOEFL teacher, Michael Buckhoff–founder, owner, and materials writer of “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT–was able to recommend a study guide that would best help her to reach her goals. Furthermore, Buckhoff answered her questions and motivated her when she was feeling down, and, when Palta posted pronunciation, speaking, and writing practice tests, Michael’s iBT TOEFL specialists recommended specific lessons targeted to her weaknesses.

As a result, Palta was able to make slow, steady improvements as she went through the vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking lessons. In fact, like many students who enrolled in this Online TOEFL Course, Palta made  between 5-10 points of improvement each month in her overall TOEFL score. Right before her scheduled TOEFL exam, Palta completed a full-length iBT practice test to mark her improvement. To her surprise, her practice test score was 92, including scoring 26 and 25 on the speaking and writing sections of the practice test, hence building her confidence. Palta was now ready to take the official TOEFL exam, and Buckhoff was confident that she would be one of the few to actually follow through with her new year resolution to beat the TOEFL exam.
